Nexans – Cabel Laying NSL Project

Avior Offshore has cooperate in many years with Nexans, and still during the Covid 19 challenges we have been able to deliver Cable Operators and Deck Foremen personell to Nexans. From May until July for the North Sea Link (NSL) Project.

This will be the first direct connection between the Norwegian and British power markets, through a high-voltage direct current cable between Kvilldal in Suldal, Rogaland and Blyth in Northumberland in England. Nexans has produced the cable in Halden and is carrying out the cable laying on the Norwegian side on behalf of the NSL project.
When the cable is completed in 2021, this will be the world’s longest underwater power connection acc. to Statnett. (photo: Statnett)
